Council Meetings
Dinnington St John’s Town Council Meetings are held in the Lyric Theatre at 7pm on the second Monday of each month (except August). If the Lyric Theatre is unavailable an alternative meeting place will be shown.
The Town Council holds nine Ordinary Town Council Meetings; one Annual Parish Meeting (normally in April); one Annual Town Council Meeting (held in May) and one scheduled Extraordinary Meeting to discuss the Precept requirements (last Monday in January) each year. August is the only month where the Town Council does not meet formally.
At the Ordinary meeting, there is a public session, where members of the public are invited to put questions on relevant parish matters or to make statements appertaining to items on the agenda to the Council. This is for a period of 30 minutes and shall be limited to 2 minutes per person.
Members of the public should note that council meetings may be recorded by the council in accordance with council’s Recording of Meetings Policy
